Procurement at Leger Education Trust 

Introduction 

The Trust is responsible for £2 million per annum on non-pay spend for the procurement of Goods, Services and Works. The aim of the Procurement Team is to achieve value for money across all schools  

We provide specialist support to all schools within the Leger Education Trust group in all tasks related to buying supplies and services using a variety of contractual arrangements ranging from locally placed orders to large complex collaborative contracts.  

Procurement Process

The Governments’ current drive towards higher efficiency combined with annual constraints on public finance has brought new dimensions to the use of resource management. We are seeking innovative solutions which provide greater value for money. 

Opportunities 

The Trusts Scheme of Delegation Policy outlines the following thresholds: 

• £5,001 to £25,000 - Minimum of 3 quotations required
• £25,001 to £213,477 - Use of DfE approved framework or formal tender process, advertised on the trust's webpage
• Over £213,477 - Use of DfE approved framework/fully Public Contracts Regulations complaint tender process.

All contracts over the value of £25,001 will be advertised via our website, or via pre-procured public sector frameworks.
